We start with a 30-minute call where I learn your business from the inside. This is not a sales call. It is a diagnostic.
The questions are specific. What problem is this website solving? Who needs to see it and what should they feel? What existing marketing has worked and what has not? Where will traffic come from? What does success look like in six months?
The answers shape every design decision that follows. A web designer who skips this step and jumps straight to “what kind of website do you want?” is a designer who will produce something generic.
By the end of discovery, you have a clear picture of what the website will do, who it is for, and how it will be structured. No ambiguity. No “we will figure it out as we go.”
